The LSU campus is great. LSU is a wonderful place to go to college.

Have you ever been to LSU? The college is amazing! I can't wait until I get to go to LSU. Here are some cool facts for you.

  • Over 32,000 students go to LSU1
  • There are over 1,300 full-time faculty members.
  • The U.S. government made grants in 1806, 1811, and 1827 to start the Louisiana State University.
  • LSU started as a military academy.
  • The college was originally built around Pineville, LA. It moved to Baton Rouge in 1869.
  • Land for the present LSU campus in Baton Rouge was purchased in 1918, and it was dedicated in 1926.
  • Sean O'Keefe, a former NASA administrator, was hired as the LSU Chancellor in 2005.
  • The campus sites on over 2,000 acres.
  • More than 250 building make up the LSU campus. Most of the buildings were built between 1925 and 1940.
  • The oak trees on the campus have been appraised at over $36,000,000!
  • LSU's main library has over 3,000,000 books in it.
  • LSU has 20 varsity sports. Nine are for men, and eleven for women.
  • LSU Tigers football started in 1893! LSU football is, by far, the biggest sport.
  • There are six arenas on the campus. LSU Tiger Stadium is for football. The Pete Maravich Assembly Center is for basketball. The Carl Maddox Fieldhouse is for indoor track. The Bernie Moore stadium is for outdoors track. Softball is played in Tiger Park, and baseball is played in the Alex Box Stadium.

 

 

LSU FOOTBALL is my favorite! The LSU PLAYERS all belong in the NFL. As part of the SEC, the LSU SCHEDULES are as tough as the NFL. The LSU BOWL GAMES are more fun than the Super Bowl!! The LSU RANK is so much better than the Saints! I only watch real news- LSU NEWS. I love LSU football!!!!
